The cardiologist (heart specialist) informed us that the heart ultrasound test showed that a large part of Dad’s Left heart was non-functioning. This was not something that happened yesterday, it is old damage indicating that he had a massive heart attack in the past and didn’t know it. His heart function was poor due to this damage and is most likely what caused his arrhythmia yesterday evening. What this means for us at this point is simply that the doctor can explain why dad stopped breathing yesterday.

This evening, Dad’s labs are reaching levels that are no longer compatible with life. We have decided to allow the physicians to do dialysis to attempt to correct this. Although there is a small chance that Dad will make it through this, the prognoses for a high quality of life is worsening.

Thank you again for all the prayers and continued support.

Mr. Legler is like a grandfather to my kids. He and Karen would give them a hug and a treat on each and every visit to the NC Activities office. Lily Belle and Tatum have said a prayer for him every night since his surgery in December. They love him to pieces…and I cannot even explain how much he has helped me. I am grateful for all of his support and kindness. We love him dearly and we will continue to pray for him and your family.

Kristi and I are both devastated at the sudden, tragic turn of events. Although I only got to spend a limited amount of time with Uncle Glen, it was obviously the first time I met him that his was an electric personality, one that filled the room and always made things a little more exciting no matter what the occasion. We are both still hopeful for a happy ending and for many more years of having Glen around.

The last time we spoke (which was last week) you were doing what you do best! and that is BEING HELPFUL AND VOLUNTEERING YOUR TIME!! Texting me last minute scores, and going above and beyond your “job”. You were like a 2nd father to me when I got here to Wyoming. I remember crying after you retired from NC because I thought I wasn’t going to see you around much, but nobody can stop you from working and being apart of Wyoming Sports and helping the kids. You are the best! I love you and I really hope God works a miracle and brings you back to us! Casper needs you! Your family is in my thoughts and prayers!!!

  32. Karen Kennedy says:

Wow, where to begin. Glen you were an amazing boss, well most of the time. We did have our moments, but we always worked through them and then hugged it out. You had passion for kids and for your job as the A.D. This quote is one of my favorites and pretty much says it all. “Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts. And we are never, ever the same.” My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Words cannot express the gratitude and fear. In high school not many admins were supportive of the rodeo team, but Glen always was. Through high school and college I always knew I was welcome in his office- and visited frequently. I have enjoyed having an “adult” friendship with him yet still struggle to call him Glen- it will always be Mr. Legler. My prayers are going your way strong as you are not only an inspiration to myself, but many people in this community. Thank you for all you do- and hang tight! Prayers and good wished to your family, as well.

He also sang in a quartet that some of you may have gotten to hear on a Valentines day. We all are stunned and greatly saddened by Glens illness and are pulling for Glen in all the ways we that know.

  55. Chris Maxwell says:

Glen as each hour of the day passes our thoughts and prayers remain with you and your family. When I think of you I think of your strength, your leadership, and how it seemed whatever you were doing at the time you were doing for others not yourself. They say a real fighter always has a punchers chance so as the bell sounds know that in your corner right now are thousands of kids, parents, volunteers, friends, and family members whose lives are better for having you in them. I hope that you draw strength from them for all the years that they have been able to draw it from you.

Glen was my mentor in the NC Booster Club. We worked hard on many activities together. His talents, insight, love of the youth in our community, and whitty humor are all parts I have grown to love and respect from this man. Karen’s quote is my sentiment exactly – your footprints have left impressions in not only my life but many, many others. I am rooting for your recovery. Sports in Wyoming and especially Natrona will not be the same without you.

  59. Kathy Currah Cundall says:

My thoughts and prayers are with Glen and his entire family. So many wonderful memories from growing up in Cody and our friendship throughout the years here in Casper. God Bless You all and yes, miracles do happen.

  60. Bob and Becky Dill says:

I was a member of the NC Booster Club for 6 years and was fortunate to work with Glen. He remember him being excited about his retirement, but those of us who knew him knew it wouldn’t take long for him to get involved again. He was first to arrive at the games and one of the last to leave (he loved it). He also loves his family who he talked about often. Many of us were fortunate enough to hear him talk about them and about how proud he was of all of his kids. He’s in the fourth quarter now and we are rooting for him – thoughts and prayers to the family.

  61. TristaWagner says:

Lots of thoughts and prayers to all of you from the entire Wagner family. You obviously have lots of support and wonderful friends but I’ll be making lots of trips to the hospital so let me know if you guys need anything at all!

  62. Ron and Linda Thompson says:

Glen, we have been friends since first grade in Linch. I’ve never had a better or more loyal friend. I will always remember how we played “Catch ’em and Kiss ’em” on the playground and….you ALWAYS got to be the kisser!! You’re the best and we are pulling for you.

    Ron and Linda Thompson

  63. Duane Burl Hodges says:

  64. Paul Underwood says:

Glen was the balancing act in our group of type A golfers. He would drive us crazy with his methodical routines and reading his Sky Caddie from inside of 25 yards but he was the first person we would call to join us on a golf course. Glen will be truly missed this summer and will be the subject of many great stories for years to come.
